About Me
Hi! My name is Euan Paterson, and I am a filmmaker based in Brisbane, Australia, working within Camera Department. Whether I am Director of Photography, 1st Assistant Camera, or any other role, I constantly strive to achieve the highest quality end result as I possibly can. I actively ensure that I learn from every set I am on, meaning I only get better every time.
Committed, passionate and dedicated to any project I am attached to, I am hugely interested in any content that evokes feelings in an audience.
I am interested in both consuming and creating content of all genres, something that especially applies if the content is in a format or genre I have not tried before. The exploration and learning done while trying new things, and creating in areas that I never have before, is one of the biggest driving forces in my life.
This drive to create in new areas not only applies to genre, but also content formats as well. I am willing and eager to work in any and all forms of media, whether it be short film, feature film, music video, corporate video, documentary, webseries or any other format under the sun.
Regardless of the details, I am driven to push as hard as I can to create the most powerful and emotive content I am able to.
I am a graduate of both the AFTRS Introduction to Film Course and the Bachelor of Film (Production) at SAE QANTM Creative Media Institute. Throughout the course of my Bachelor Degree I undertook and assisted in the creation of a large number of projects, both student and external, something I refuse to stop doing.
I greatly enjoyed completing my degrees as they continually drove me out of my comfort zone, forcing me to constantly improve my skills and try new things, building up these traits as habits.
I am currently looking for even more opportunities to improve my skill set and increase my experience on set, working with many different, varied people.
I am looking forward to everything and anything the future holds.
